Regi Model Town’s zone-1 dispute resolved while large Sports Complex is planned

Present Provincial Govt of KPK successfully resolved the long disputed land issue between the state and Kooki Khel tribe (& allies) in Zone-1 of Regi Model Town Peshawar. This land issue is long disputed since 1990s.

An international level sports stadium (over 350+ kanals) is being assessed for people of Peshawar. This 350 kanal Land in Regi Model Town handed over by PDA to Directorate of Sports for development of Sports Facilities.

KP CM directed the relevant departments to provide civic amenities to the newly developed Regi Model Township.

The CM KPK directed provincial police and the Frontier Constabulary to deploy the required number of personnel to improve the security situation in the township.

Regi Model Town has been divided in five Zones out of which two zones-3 and 4 have been completed and people are residing there while development work in zone 2 and five is underway to be completed within stipulated time.

There was issue of ownership in Zone-1 and efforts were being made to resolve it through dialogue.

Its already been decided to shift PDA’s head office from Hayatabad to Regi Model Town.
