RDA crackdown against Illegal Housing Schemes, registered FIR

RDA has lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against 43 illegal housing schemes on the directions of Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood Murtaza.

RDA advised general public in their own interest not to make any investment in illegal housing schemes.

The Director MP&TE RDA said the Directorate was taking legal action against the illegal advertisements/marketing of illegal housing schemes.

District Collector Rawalpindi, District Council Rawalpindi, PEMRA Islamabad and Commissioner Islamabad have also been informed about illegal advertisements of private housing schemes on social media, WhatsApp, YouTube and other apps of internet facility.

The authority has registered FIRs and issued notices to the sponsors of 43 illegal housing societies, which includes:

  3. Al-Harram City Phase-I & Part-II,
  4. Mivida,
  5. Ruden Enclave,
  6. University View City,
  7. Baroha Forum Housing Scheme,
  8. FSCE Housing Scheme,
  9. Sanam Garden,
  10. Kashmir Paradise,
  11. Imperial Garden,
  12. Islamabad Farm House Phase-III,
  13. Rawal Farm House,
  14. CPEC Resort,
  15. Waddya Homes,
  16. Margalla Hills Enclave,
  17. Taqwa Town,
  18. Hobby Town,
  19. Al-Ameer City,
  20. Marryam Green City,
  21. Rehber Colony,
  22. Rawal Enclave,
  23. Metro Homes,
  24. Safari Enclave,
  25. Executive Homes,
  26. Abad Pearl Villas,
  27. Overseas Enclave,
  28. Ideal Agro Farm,
  29. Safari Green Homes,
  30. Ideal City,
  31. Gulshan-e-Farzand Ali,
  32. Silver City,
  33. Al-Madina Valley,
  34. Sapphire Villas,
  35. Marryam Green City,
  36. The Avenue,
  37. Akbar Villas (French Housing Scheme),
  38. Kashmir Heaven Valley,
  39. Airport Town and others.

RDA warned that without getting the requisite NOCs, all sorts of marketing, advertisement and development of any housing project is illegal.

Moreover, the sponsors are warned immediately to stop the marketing of their unapproved/illegal housing scheme and should contact RDA for getting NOC/approval of the scheme as per law, otherwise, strict legal action will be taken against them.

RDA spokesman said MP&TE Directorate has sent letters with request/information to the Governor State Bank of Pakistan, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad, Cyber Crime Islamabad, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Islamabad, and utility agencies like SNGPL & IESCO about the illegal housing projects.

Chaudhary Maqbool Ahmed, DG RDA has directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal / unauthorized housing schemes, constructions and commercial activities, booking offices and encroachments without any fear and favour.
