PEMRA issued a letter to all TV channels to prohibit the telecast of advertisements of Blue World City Housing Rawalpindi.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) issued the letter on the request of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood Murtaza called on Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), two days ago, and requested him to refrain private TV channels from airing advertisements of illegal housing societies.
Chairman RDA has also written letters to Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) requesting them to block bank accounts/social media accounts of the owners/followers of the illegal housing societies mushroomed across the district.
Chairman RDA advised the citizens/investors to not invest their hard-earned money in these illegal housing societies.
The Blue World Private Housing Scheme has continued sale of plots without getting No Objection Certificate (NOC) or approval of layout plan from Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
Now, BWC case is also under investigastion of NAB Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, RDA also started operation against some others illegal housing societies in the Rawalpindi region.
