Ministry of Science and Technology has formulated a plan to establish a science and technology park in Islamabad, APP reported on Monday.

The park will facilitate the students with modern tools for scientific research.
The eventual aim of establishing the park is to endow aspirants with up to date amenities for scientific research under one roof.
In this regard, the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) will collaborate with the team, said an official while talking to APP.
Moreover, the government has allocated Rs50 million for the project, the official said. He said that the feasibility report of the project has been prepared by a renowned company.
Dr. Raheel Qamar, Rector COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), said that the purpose of the science and technology park is to endorse scientific education among the students.
This will also increase entrepreneurship across the country, he added.
This implies that the students will have an opportunity to generate new ideas and innovation, and perform certain experiments for implementation of those ideas.
The project is expected to be commenced on the priority basis.
Back in 2017, National University of Science and Technology (NUST) collaborated with HEC (Higher Education Commission) kickstarted the work on NSTP (National Science And Technology Park) is the federal capital. The project was expected to be completed by 2020 but the change in government has slowed down the work.
