Punjab Government has issued clear instructions for swift solution to overseas Pakistanis’ problems.
Punjab Govt has also opened numerous “Arazi record” centres, satellite and mobile arazi centres in the past some months, so that registry system been computerized.
According to a Punjab Land Records Authority report, ownership records and rural landscape data has been computerized.
The government is extending the land transfer system to the whole of the province after the registry through an automated process.
Under the “e-Governance” vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, the Punjab Land Records Authority has started setting up Land Record Centers at Pakistani embassies and consulates to facilitate overseas Pakistanis.
DG Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA), in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, is establishing land record centres in the embassies of all major countries.
Initially, Overseas arazi record centres had also been established in Pakistan embassies in the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, and UAE for expatriate Pakistanis.
The CM disclosed that a committee had been constituted for the restructuring of BoR field staff and open courts were planned on first working day of every month.
The CM directed to continue action against illegal occupants adding that legislation would be done to eradicate the menace of squatting. More than 1.4 lakh acre land worth more than Rs1,000 billion was retrieved from squatters. A data-sharing agreement was also signed between federal and provincial BoRs.
Pakistan Govt will soon establish a ‘fast-track courts’ in Islamabad to resolve land disputes of overseas Pakistanis within days.
“The prime minister, in a recent meeting of National Coordination Committee on Construction (NCCC), has stressed the need for evolving a mechanism which can protect the overseas Pakistanis from tricksters of real estate sector, who trap innocent overseas Pakistanis through fake promotional campaigns on digital media,” Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari said while talking to media.

Overseas Pakistanis will now get all the essential services, including OPF membership card, NICOP and FERC under one roof as the OPF office has been transformed into one window facility.
