PM Imran Khan fulfilled his promise to give houses to the poor. Construction of 7572 low cost houses for the poor have been completed at a cost of Rs. 3 billion.
According to the details, 6000 houses of 3 marlas have been handed over to the deserving people. Further, 1500 houses will be handed over to the poor next month.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that initially out of Rs 3 billion, Rs 350 million has been returned to the exchequer and these Rs 350 million returned to the government, would now be given to more people.
Imran Khan said that Rs 10 to 15 billion more should be allocated for the project, it is a happy opportunity for the poor to fulfill their dream at home, getting a private roof was a dream of the poor which they will fulfill.
PM Imran Khan had chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on different housing projects including Ravi Riverfront Urban Development. The participants had also reviewed the progress on relocation of Walton airport, wastewater treatment plant and Central Business District.
PM’s aide on political communication Shahbaz Gill, Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA) chairman and senior officers had attended the meeting.
